The Terry Fox Run was a success! Thanks to everyone who made a donation to Cancer Research. Thank you also to all family members that volunteered their services. It is very much appreciated and we really depend on and appreciate your help. Book fair is happening next Thursday and of course school photos. I look forward to meet and greet on September 28th. There will be only enough time to say hello and tell me who you belong to and what I should know about your child. Thank you for being so diligent about signing your child's Planner each night. The response has been super! Our goal is for each student in the class to read 5 books before Sept. 30th so that we can enter the Reading-Give it a Shot and hopefully win tickets to an Oilers or Oil King game. Going to the Library this week will help. Yours in sport!

Welcome to Grade Four!

I am looking forward to another exciting year in grade four. We have 22 students in our class and we are all part of a team. Extraordinary things can be accomplished with team work. Our first unit in Science is Waste and Our World and it will continue to be a focus throughout the year. Grade Fours are our Green Team. I encourage you to send nutritious snacks and healthy lunches with as little packaging as possible. Our goal is to eliminate waste and to encourage healthy living. Please read and sign your child's Planner every night. It is our communication book. Home reading for 15-20 minutes every night is also important to improve your child's reading and comprehension. You can travel anywhere in the world in a book. I look forward to meeting with you at parent/teacher conferences on September 28th.
